Kansas issues a Certificate of Good Standing through the Kansas Secretary of State, Business Services Division. Order it online by logging in to a Secretary of State user account and choosing “Purchase Certified Copy/Certificate of Good Standing Search,” where the price is shown at checkout, or by mail on Form CO for $15. Only entities in good standing can purchase one. Online certificates stay in your account for one year and carry a verification code.

Iowa’s good standing document is the Certificate of Existence, issued by the Iowa Secretary of State, Business Services. Order it online by searching your entity, opening the Business Entity Summary and clicking “Print Certificate of Existence,” or by mailing a letter that requests an original certificate. The fee is $5 for LLCs and corporations either way. Online certificates print immediately from the receipt page. Iowa issues it only to domestic entities in good standing.

Indiana’s good standing document is the Certificate of Existence, issued by the Indiana Secretary of State, Business Services Division through INBiz. Log in to an INBiz account, find your LLC or corporation and order the certificate. The Secretary of State lists the fee at $21.42, and INBiz adds a processing fee at checkout of at least $1 and no more than 2.15%. The certificate is emailed after payment and stays available in your INBiz dashboard.

Idaho’s good standing document is the Certificate of Existence, which the official request form lists as “Existence or Goodstanding.” The Idaho Secretary of State, Business Services issues it. Order it online through SOSbiz, where the price is shown at checkout, or by mail with the Certificate Request form for $10. The Secretary of State does not publish a processing time. An Idaho entity stays in good standing by filing its annual report.

Hawaii issues a Certificate of Good Standing, listed on the fee schedule as the Good Standing Certificate (Certificate of Compliance). The Hawaii Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs (DCCA), Business Registration Division issues it. Order it online through Hawaii Business Express by searching your entity. The DCCA fee schedule sets the fee at $5.00 for LLCs and corporations, plus an optional $10.00 expedited review fee. The DCCA does not publish a processing time.

Georgia’s good standing document is the Certificate of Existence, issued by the Georgia Secretary of State, Corporations Division. Order it online through the eCorp Certificate of Existence page, or by mail or in person with Form CD 700. The fee is $20.00 for LLCs and corporations ($10.00 fee plus a $10.00 service charge). Online requests are processed immediately. Paper requests take up to 15 business days unless you pay to expedite.

The DC Department of Licensing and Consumer Protection (DLCP), Corporations Division, issues the Washington DC Certificate of Good Standing. Order it online through the BOSS portal: sign in with Access DC, open Certificates & Certified Copies and choose the Good Standing Certificate tile. The fee is $50 for LLCs and corporations. DLCP processes non-expedited online filings within 5 business days, and expedite options cost $50 for 3-day or $100 for 1-day service.
