Maryland’s certificate of good standing is the Certificate of Status, issued by the State Department of Assessments and Taxation (SDAT), Charter Division. Order it online through Maryland Business Express under Business Entity Search, Certificate of Status and Document Order, or request it by mail. The SDAT fee is $20, plus $20 for expedited service. The Delaware Department of State, Division of Corporations, issues the Delaware Certificate of Good Standing. A short form certificate costs $50 and a long form costs $175. Order online through the Division’s eCorp Document Filing and Certificate Request service, or by mail. Standard requests are returned by first-class mail. Expedite options run from 24-hour service for $40 extra on a short form to 1-hour service for $1,000. Paying the annual tax on time keeps you eligible.

New Jersey Certificate of Good Standing: Fee and How to Order

New Jersey calls its certificate of good standing a Standing Certificate. The Division of Revenue and Enterprise Services (DORES) issues it through the New Jersey business records portal. An LLC pays $50 for the short form and $100 for the long form; a corporation pays $25 for either form. Online orders return an electronic certificate. Mail, in-person, fax and courier orders are also accepted, with an optional expedite completed within 8.5 business hours.
