A Vermont Certificate of Good Standing is issued by the Vermont Secretary of State, Business Services Division. Order it online through the Online Business Service Center at bizfilings.vermont.gov and pay by credit card. The fee schedule lists $35 for a domestic LLC and $25 for a domestic business corporation. The certificate is available as soon as the request and payment go through, so you can download it the same day.

Utah’s certificate of good standing is officially called a Certificate of Existence, and the Utah Department of Commerce, Division of Corporations and Commercial Code issues it. Order it online through the Utah business registration portal for $12 and the Division emails the certificate after payment. A Long Form Certificate of Existence costs $20. Mail and in-person orders take 3 to 10 working days, or 1 to 2 business days with the $75 expedite fee.

Tennessee’s good standing document is the Certificate of Existence, issued by the Tennessee Secretary of State, Division of Business and Charitable Organizations. Order it online through TNBear by searching your entity, paying the $20 fee by credit or debit card, then downloading and printing the PDF. You can also request it by mail with no service fee. Your entity needs tax clearance from the Tennessee Department of Revenue to qualify.

South Dakota issues a Certificate of Good Standing / Existence through the South Dakota Secretary of State, Business Services Division. You order it online only, through the Secretary of State’s business services portal: search your LLC or corporation, request the certificate and pay $20 by Visa, MasterCard, Discover or American Express. The state does not publish a processing time. Your entity must be current on its annual report to qualify.

South Carolina’s good standing document is the Certificate of Existence, also called a Certificate of Good Standing, issued by the South Carolina Secretary of State, Division of Business Filings. Order it online through the Secretary of State’s business filings document request page by searching your entity and paying the $10 fee, which is set by statute. The state does not publish a processing time for online orders.

Rhode Island issues a Certificate of Good Standing through the Rhode Island Department of State, Business Services Division. Order it online through the CorpWeb business search for $22 ($20 plus a $2 online fee), or pay $20 in person, by phone or by mail. Online orders take two business days plus mailing time. In-person orders are immediate. Every outstanding annual report must be filed before the certificate is issued.
