Puerto Rico’s good standing document is the Certificate of Compliance, issued by the Puerto Rico Department of State, Registry of Corporations and Entities. Order it through the online Registry or in person using the Good Standing request form. The official form lists $20 for LLCs, $15 for for-profit corporations and no cost for nonprofits. The Department of State does not publish a processing time.

Pennsylvania’s good standing document is the Subsistence Certificate, issued by the Pennsylvania Department of State, Bureau of Corporations and Charitable Organizations. Order it online through Business Filing Services by searching your entity, selecting the certificate and paying $40. Download it once the order status shows approved. Same-day ($100), 3-hour ($300) and 1-hour ($1,000) expedite options are available. Phone and mail orders are also accepted.

Oregon’s good standing document is the Certificate of Existence, issued by the Oregon Secretary of State, Corporation Division (Business Registry). Order it online through the Business Registry by searching your business, selecting the certificate and paying $10 by credit card. Online orders arrive in minutes. A paper request on Form 302 by mail or fax also costs $10 and takes 5 to 10 business days after receipt.

Maine’s certificate of good standing is called a Certificate of Existence. The Maine Department of the Secretary of State, Bureau of Corporations, Elections and Commissions, issues it for corporations, LLCs, LPs and LLPs. Order it online through the InforME Corporate Search service and download it as a PDF right after payment, or request it by mail. The state fee is $30. Paper requests follow the Secretary of State’s 10 to 15 business day processing time.

A Louisiana Certificate of Good Standing is issued by the Louisiana Secretary of State, Commercial Division, for corporations and LLCs. Order it through the Secretary of State’s document and certificate ordering service online, or by mail, fax or in person. The fee is $25 per certificate. The state fee schedule lists a $35 expedite for processing within 24 hours and $60 for priority, while-you-wait service. Requests received after 4:30 p.m. are processed the next business day.

Kentucky’s good standing document is the Certificate of Existence, issued by the Kentucky Secretary of State, Business Filings / Records Branch. Anyone can buy one online by searching the business in the Secretary of State’s business search and paying the $10.00 fee online. You can also request it by mail or fax with the request form on the Business Records page. The Secretary of State does not publish a processing time.
